DESCRIPTION:Shot in 1920, “The Daughter of Dawn” features an all-Native cast including members of the Comanche and Kiowa tribes and was only screened twice before disappearing for nearly a century. Local filmmaker Tweesna Rose Mills presents a revisionist take on the film, interweaving original footage with new imagery and soundscapes to invite viewers to experience the work through a modern lens.
