Spencer Museum co-sponsors art-science workshop at Konza Prairie

KU artists and scientists are invited to apply for a cross-disciplinary workshop at the Konza Prairie Biological Station in Manhattan, Kan., on July 15. The workshop, co-sponsored by the Spencer Museum of Art and a Kansas State University Academic Excellence Award, is designed as a day of discovery and dialogue for scholars from the arts and sciences to share research ideas and approaches.

The workshop will facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration and address ways that scientific data and artistic practices can enrich one another. Matthew Coolidge, founder and director of the Los Angeles–based Center for Land Use Interpretation, will give a special presentation.

The registration deadline is July 1 and can be completed online. Participants will be notified of their acceptance by July 6. For more information please contact Carol Blocksome.
