Roger Shimomura

Roger Shimomura lives and works in Lawrence, Kansas. He taught painting and performance in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Kansas from 1969 to 2004. After being open for only two weeks, the Spencer’s exhibition Staging Shimomura, which surveys three decades of his performance practice, closed due to the pandemic. We are currently planning to extend the exhibition into the fall of 2020.
