Charlotte Street Foundation
The Charlotte Street Foundation and the Spencer Museum of Art are partners in Rocket Grants, a program supporting innovative, artist-driven projects outside of established arts venues. Funding for the program is provided by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
The Commons
A partnership of KU’s Biodiversity Institute, the Hall Center for the Humanities, and the Spencer Museum of Art, The Commons is both a physical and intellectual space for people to gather and explore ideas for the common good.
Kress Foundation Department of Art History
The University of Kansas Kress Foundation Department of Art History is located on the second floor of the Spencer Museum of Art. The Spencer and the Department of Art History co-host the ongoing Murphy Distinguished Lecture Series, which brings art scholars from around the world to speak at the Museum.
Lawrence Public Schools
The Museum/Schools Partnership, which began in 1969, is a collaboration between the Spencer Museum of Art and Lawrence Public Schools elementary art and classroom teachers. The program enhances art education for USD 497 students, including classroom resources and annual visits to the Museum by every third, fourth, and fifth grade class in the district.
