Hannah Park
Hannah Park is a designer, teacher, and researcher interested in socially conscious, trans-disciplinary, user experience, and service design. Park works as an assistant professor in the School of Architecture and Design and associate director at the Center for Design Research at the University of Kansas. From advocating for millennials to develop healthy financial habits to helping pet owners have peace of mind for their dogs’ well-being, she facilitates many engaged-scholarship design projects with her students. Park’s research has been presented and published internationally. One of her current projects, Project Lemonaid: Mobile Outreach Hub for Mental Wellness, was nominated as a finalist for 2019 SXSW EDU’s Learn by Design Competition. During her ARI fellowship Park will work with undergraduate fellow Sophia Schippers to raise awareness about mental disabilities and mental wellness. Specifically, they will look at how to make diagnosis assessments less sterile and clinical through interactive design research.
