Liz James
Fall 2016
English, Art History, French
James had conducted research through the Museum previously, and this fellowship afforded them the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary work drawing on studies in both English and art history. During their fellowship, James worked for a time with a florist while simultaneously studying the flower industry and its complicated interactions with nature, technology, and commerce. At the same time, they were studying poetry that incorporated various kinds of research and information. James composed several new poems and planned to extend this work as part of their honors thesis in English.
