Dear friends,

In the interest of protecting public health, the Spencer Museum of Art will temporarily close its galleries beginning March 14 through March 31. All Spencer Museum public programs are canceled through March 31. During this period, we will remain committed to advancing our mission of supporting teaching, learning, and research at the University of Kansas and serving communities of learners across Kansas and beyond.

We will continue connecting students and researchers with art through our online collection and other digital resources for K–12 and university classes. You can visit us virtually through the Spencer Museum of Art app, and we are working on other ways to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and create connections among people and art in the digital realm.

Although our galleries are closed, our staff remains available to assist you and answer questions. You can reach us at 785.864.4710 or spencerart@ku.edu.

We are closely monitoring recommendations from KU and health officials to assess when reopening our galleries is in the best interest of the many communities we serve.
