Sahej Rahal

As part of Temporal Turn, the Spencer’s major exhibition of contemporary Asian art, Indian artist Sahej Rahal visited Lawrence during October and November 2016 to create new, site-specific artwork. In November 2015, Rahal visited the Spencer to conduct a site visit and began planning his installation, which will repurpose found objects from the University of Kansas, the Spencer Museum, and Lawrence recycling centers as armatures for futuristic sculptures made with cement colored to resemble terracotta clay.
