Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassador info
What do Spencer Student Ambassadors do?
Our Student Ambassadors program trains KU students to guide tours for the many third- and fourth-grade classes that visit the Museum each year. Ambassadors also sometimes assist with events or help represent the Spencer elsewhere on campus. Ambassadors are paid student hourly positions.
What makes a good Student Ambassador?
Ambassadors are not required to have a major related to art or education, but an interest in art and experience working with elementary school children are a plus. An ambassador should be welcoming, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable.
What training does the Spencer provide?
Spencer ambassadors receive one semester of hands-on training before leading tours.
When are positions advertised?
Ambassador positions are posted on the KU and Spencer websites each fall. Check our employment page for current opportunities.
