Rachel Quist

Biography —
In her role as Executive Assistant, Rachel coordinates the daily operations of the Director’s office. Her responsibilities include facilitating communications and scheduling, conducting research, and assisting with special projects and events. Rachel began her current role in 2024, after receiving her PhD in art history at the University of Kansas. Previously, she served as a curatorial intern at the Spencer and as an instructor at KU. Her research centers on Japanese and Chinese Buddhist imagery, with particular focus on the interrelations between visual culture, medicinal rituals, and the natural world.
