Thayer Collection Scrapbook (exhibition facsimile), unknown maker from the United States

This vintage scrapbook features articles from the University Daily Kansan, Lawrence Journal-World, Kansas City Star, and other newspapers. These clippings narrate the history of the collection and museum that began with Sallie Casey Thayer’s gift to the University of Kansas. Stories chronicle how the collection has changed over the years, donors and curators who have influenced the collection, and coverage of Museum exhibitions and events. The current exhibition continues this narrative, and we encourage you to share your own experiences at the Spencer Museum of Art on a notecard and add it to the blank pages at the end of the scrapbook.
