Empowerment
The four figures seen here are Yei, supernatural beings that have the power to act as an intermediary between the human and spiritual worlds. Among the Diné, physical, spiritual, and emotional health are tied to the concept of hózhó—a search for balance, harmony, and beauty across all aspects of life. During ceremonies, the Yei help the healer in restoring that balance.
