Exhibition Label: “C.A. Seward: Artist and Draftsman,” Feb-2010, Kate Meyer Elk Valley Farm was completed in the same year as Adobe Village -New Mexico. Both lithographs depict a homestead on a swelling hill, seen through a cluster of trees. As a pair, Seward’s structured yet sensitive response to Kansan and New Mexican scenery is apparent.
