Reading the World
This video by Cannupa Hanska Luger documents a performance at Oceti Sakowin Camp, a gathering of Indigenous peoples and allies protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. The mirror shields create a moving river or serpent-like formation and emphasize the water protectors’ resilience to surveillance planes flying overhead while reflecting their surveillance back to them.
