Reading the World
Marie McInerney’s sculptural installations are translations of celestial and terrestrial phenomena in the face of an uncertain ecological future. The silk in this piece moves as it responds to airflow and visitors passing through. Together the multiple layers create a palpable presence that confronts viewers in the gallery. McInerney’s recent works are meditations on time, reverence, and uncertainty.
