Biography —

Saralyn Reece Hardy has led the Spencer Museum of Art since 2005. As Director she collaborates with staff, artists, KU colleagues, and communities to bring art and people together for a more creative and just future. She was formerly the Director of Museums and Visual Arts for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Director of the Salina Art Center. Saralyn has served as faculty for the Getty Leadership Program and is an active juror, speaker, trainer, advocate, and art advisor. Her ongoing projects include supporting art and artist projects on the main KU campus in Lawrence and the KU Medical Center in Kansas City.
