This exhibition and catalogue originated in a course entitled Art Museum Methods and Techniques offered by the Kress Foundation Department of Art History. Twenty graduate students from various departments selected forty objects from the Spencer Museum to be included in the exhibition, and wrote the accompanying catalogue entries.

The forty works are all contemporary works on paper--and that is where the similarities end. This assortment of works is amazingly diverse in every aspect, from style and subject to technique and medium.
