A selection of the work of nine photographers, including Walker Evans and Marion Post Wolcott, who, under the auspices of the Farm Security Administration, through recording on film the relationship between the economic and social forces of 1930s America played an important role in the development of documentary photography.
The exhibition is an exhibition of forty photographs made from 1935 to 1941 under the auspices of FSA, a government agency developed as part of President Roosevelt's New Deal program.
The purpose of the exhibition is both to give an historical overview of the FSA and to elucidate the important role played by the FSA photographers in the development of documentary photography.
