French printmaker and painter Henri Jules Jean Geoffroy created many images of scenes from World War I, including this color lithograph of a nurse administering medicine to an unenthusiastic patient. Though his images often convey a romanticized version of events, Geoffroy’s prints convey information about medical practice during the war.
