In Balance, Marjorie Schick (1941–2017)

Influential avant-garde artist Marjorie Schick is known for her vibrant wearable sculptures. Schick often begins her process by forming an idea and working directly with the materials, omitting any planning stages through sketches or drawings. “In Balance” is a ring made of painted wood that can stand on its own as a sculpture or be worn through the hole in its center.
