The Power of Women
Exhibition Overview
This exhibition includes works based on Biblical, mythical, and allegorical themes depicting the powers of women as perceived by men of the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
The exhibition was arranged for the fall semester in the South Balcony by Curator Stephen Goddard in conjunction with an art history course on the history of printmaking.
It includes Edvard Munch's "Jealousy" against a background of 15th and 16th century prints from the collection, loans from the Spencer Research Library and private collections.
