Adorning the body fulfills a basic human need to beautify the self. An array of forms, styles, and materials communicate different cultural ideals of beauty. Located in the file drawers on the north-central wall in the 20/21 Gallery and using works from the Spencer’s permanent collection and those on loan from Robert Hiller, this exhibition explores a variety of objects created from diverse materials.
