New Acquisitions (Fall 2003)
Exhibition Overview
This exhibition highlighted ten recent additions to the Spencer’s collection. Including a fifteenth-century Italian vestment fragment, a nineteenth-century Kansas landscape painting, and contemporary Chinese hanging scroll, these objects underscored the comprehensive nature of the Spencer’s holdings. All ten works of art came to the museum as the gifts of generous patrons.
