mobile app tour

This tour features poetry written by Spencer Museum of Art visitors inspired by works of art in the exhibition, Power of Place: KU Alumni Artists. The practice of writing vivid poetry about a work of art is called ekphrasis, from the word meaning “description” in ancient Greek. Tap the Audio icon in each entry to hear recordings of original poems read by their authors. All of the works in this tour are in the main galleries on the 3rd floor, just inside the main doors from the lobby.
