J. Sheldon Carey was a professor of ceramics and glassblowing at the University of Kansas for 32 years and a nationally recognized leader in creative ceramic art. Tracey Cady, curatorial intern in European and American Art, organized the show and a gallery guide to display Carey's achievements and recognize the gift from Carey and his wife, Aletha, of 20 ceramic and glass objects by the artist.
