Nature/Natural

This incense container is attributed to both Shōō Sōsa, the 10th generation tea master of Omote-Senke表千家 (literally “front Sen house”) one of three houses or families that trace their lineage to Sen no Rikyū千利休 (1522–1591). However, according to the inscription on the box it is also attributed to 12th generation named Seisai.
