And Still We Rise

1988: James Cameron, America’s only known survivor of a lynching attempt, opens America’s Black Holocaust Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin—a memorial dedicated to African American history, from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement. Under the guidance of the Dr. James Cameron Legacy Foundation, the memorial will be established online as a virtual museum in 2012 with a mission to “educate the public about ongoing injustices endured by people of African heritage in America.”
