Interviewer: - for a lecture at Syracuse on your work. Well, Andy, you’re an artist, and you’re a craftsman. You’ve got a beautiful studio here. You’re making films also, so-called underground films also in other words. Is there any common idea between your paintings and films? Andy: I haven’t thought about it; I haven’t. Interviewer: [Laughs] Okay. Well a lot has been written about your work. Now was this with or without your cooperation? I’m just interested. Yeah, oh yeah. Andy: What? Interviewer: Never mind. People have seen what you’ve done and observed. Therefore, do you feel that your formed from their opinions? Andy: Sure. Interviewer: You do feel it – you do feel that? Andy: Uh, I don't know. Interviewer: Well, Andy, what are you making now? What are you working on now, if you care to say? Andy: I wouldn’t. Interviewer: [Laughs] You wouldn’t care to say. Andy: I’m not making anything. Interviewer: Oh, you're not making anything. As I look around here, the cameras and so on and so forth, you're not even making films? Andy: Yeah, tomorrow afternoon. Interviewer: Oh, you are making films. What’s the subject? Andy: None. Interviewer: Andy, Andy, can you summarize sort of – it’s noisy in here. Andy: Have you seen that? That’s me you know. Interviewer: Yeah, I saw that. Can you summarize any sort of direction in this particular film that you’re, you’re… Andy: No. Interviewer: No? You would not? Andy: You tell me. [End of Audio]
