Event date, time, and location
Event description
PROGRAM UPDATE: Due to travel delays, we regret the artist is not able to join us. Curator Steve Goddard and Photography Specialist Luke Jordan will be on hand to discuss the exhibition of Thaddeus Holownia's photographs. Visiting artist Thaddeus Holownia speaks about his 40 works on view in the exhibition Headlighting: Photographs by Thaddeus Holownia, and shares his recent ecologically conscious work exploring the intersections of nature and humankind. The works on view in Headlighting represent an early body of work from 1974-75 that feature portraits of people and their cars from a road trip between Toronto, Canada and Kansas. Holownia is Head of the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. He was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2000 and invested into the Order of New Brunswick in 2015.
