Backyard Bash: A Sensory Garden StoryTour
Event date, time, and location
Event description
The Audio-Reader Sensory Garden was built in the 1980s to engage the senses with textured and fragrant plants. It is the second largest garden of its kind in the U.S. Learn about the history of the garden, feel its soft lamb’s-ear, and smell its aromatic lavender on a tour led by KU Field Ecology students Fatima Chabuk, Samuel Sokoloff, Grace Williams, and Lauren Young. Meet at the Sensory Garden adjacent to the Kansas Public Radio building: https://goo.gl/maps/6y7CHxobsATg3Byk9. Contact the Museum for accessibility accommodations. This program is part of the Spencer Museum’s Backyard Bash, a series of installations and other activations in Marvin Grove and other green spaces across campus from October 21 to November 12.
