Town & Gown Forum: Andy Warhol, Celebrity Culture, and the 1980s

Join KU faculty members for a series of gallery presentations about the Spencer’s exhibition Big Shots: Andy Warhol, Celebrity Culture, and the 1980s. SMA Curator Susan Earle, moderator Susan Earle, curator of European and American Art at the Spencer Museum of Art, will provide an overview of the exhibition and moderate the forum Tami Albin, Undergraduate Instruction & Outreach Librarian, will speak on “My identity through 80s music: Why I love the Boy” Cathy Preston, Associate Professor, Film & Media Studies, will talk about “Celebrity Culture and Consumer Societies” Luke Jordan, artist, Design Department, will talk about issues related to Warhol and photography.
