Event description

Explorer, educator, and environmentalist Will Steger has more than 45 years of experience in the Polar Regions. An internationally recognized authority, his topics of expertise include Antarctica, Arctic ice melt, polar bears and other Arctic wildlife, Greenland, the Arctic Ocean, trans-boundary pollution, permafrost/methane gas, and offshore oil drilling. In 2006 he established the Will Steger Foundation to promote change through education and advocacy, and to foster international leadership and cooperation through environmental education and policy. The Foundation’s Global Warming 101 initiative engages and empowers individuals and policy makers to translate their climate concern into action.
