Assistant Professor of African and African American Studies, Yacine Daddi Addoun explores the significane and paleography of Arabic script, its inroads to Sub-Saharan Africa, the changes it has witnessed, and how new canons of calligraphy emerge from the encounter of Arabic script and African artists. This gallery talk, open to the public at large, is a qualifying event for students seeking GAP certification. This is a qualifying event in History of Art for students seeking Arts Engagement Certification.
