Event description
With the curator as your guide, explore the intersections between emerging photographic traditions and evolving understandings of Native American culture in the late 19th century. This intimate and informal session invites close study of Native American portraiture and the circumstances that led to the creation of some of the more surprising photographs on view in Conversation XVII: Photographic Memory. This is a qualifying event in History of Art and Visual Art for students seeking Arts Engagement Certification.
