Event description

Humans have been fascinated by the stars for tens of thousands of years. Ancient cultures used the stars as tools for navigation, marking time to indicate when to plant and harvest, and when to observe religious celebrations and social activities. This fascination has continued throughout the ages, showcasing the deep connection humans have with the night sky. Join Rick Heschmeyer from the Astronomy Associates of Lawrence for a discussion of how stars have been used throughout the years.
