Exhibition Label: "Corpus," Apr-2012, Kris Ercums David D’Angers, who flourished in the aftermath of the French Revolution, was part of the Romantic movement in Europe in the early 19th century. During his career, David portrayed many notable contemporaries such as Ludwig Tieck (1773-1853), the romantic philosopher who was hailed as a spiritual successor to Goethe.
