The common saying “love is blind” refers to the inability to recognize the imperfections in the object of one’s love. For some, the saying means that appearances don’t matter in true love, but for others, it indicates that people in love don’t know what they’re doing. This ceramic figurine depicts a blindfolded Cupid, the winged son of Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love.
