Archive Label 2003: Many artists in the 1970s were concerned with the homogenization of the American culture. This generic hotel room is typical of the anonymous buildings that resulted from rapid urbanization. Depicting the space as truly anonymous, Wing has avoided any details that would give clues as to the location of the motel or identity of its inhabitants.
