Archive Label 2003: Still an architecture student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Shirer presents himself as a dandy. He looks confidently at the viewer with his carefully coifed hair. He wears an artfully tied cravat and a fur draped over his shoulders. The position of Shirer’s body and the shadows cast by the studio light recall film star photographs.
