Raymond Cecil Moore was not only a distinguished American geologist and paleontologist who taught at the University of Kansas, but was also a talented artist. During surveys he would often make field sketches on the spot. This view depicts the Plönlein, an iconic road in the picturesque German Medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria.
