In her story from Tales of Two Americas, Julia Alvarez describes spending the night at an airport and bonding with strangers to make sure everyone’s basic needs were met during their temporary displacement. Elliott Erwitt similarly muses on displaced or lost individuals, in this case the somewhat humorous plight of concert attendees separated from their groups, waiting to be “found.”
