In’zhúje’waxóbe: Return of the Sacred Red Rock

The Sacred Red Rock Project’s community engagement team hosted multiple workshops, storytelling sessions, and artist opportunities in Robinson Park before the rock was moved to Council Grove, Kansas. This ledger drawing was created by Haskell Indian Nations University student Mia Cadue during a field trip to the park as part of Professor David Titterington’s class. Robinson Park is named after the first governor of Kansas, Charles Robinson, who also served as a superintendent at
Haskell Institute from 1887–1888.
