Looking After: Art and Care in Education Across Kansas

The Adventures of Beekle tells the story of an “unimaginary” friend who sets out on an epic journey to find his soulmate who hasn’t imagined him yet. After the Fall (to your left) is a retelling of the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme, which soars to new heights. Caldecott award winner Dan Santat wrote and illustrated these and other books. He shared his experiences as an Asian American artist with Kansas teachers at a professional development workshop hosted by the Spencer Museum in 2022.
