Exhibition Label: "Charles Marshall, Artist on Site," Jun-2001, Cori Sherman This linocut was the 1940 gift print for the Friends of Art organization at Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University). It is the only multi-color print by Marshall in the Spencer Museum of Art’s collection, and was intentionally created to suggest traditional chiaroscuro woodcuts with their subtle layers of color tone.
