Hans Baldung Grien is the only artist in the exhibition who definitely studied with Dürer. He served as Dürer’s apprentice starting in 1503 and ran his workshop while Dürer was in Venice from 1505-7. Baldung designed this title page shortly after his apprenticeship with Dürer. Someone has glued another print (not by Baldung) in the center of Baldung’s ornamental border.
