Instead of documenting Southeast Asia or his adoptive American homeland, Vietnamese-born photographer Han Nguyen focuses upon personal issues of physical and psychological identity. Nguyen fashions interpretive photographic visions of his own body as the one constant in his life. His finished works are intimate, reflective studies of his corporeal existence that ignore the social and cultural anxieties of contemporary life.
