Exhibition Label: "Brion Gysin: A Selection of Books and Works on Paper," Feb-2005, Steve Goddard and Joanna Sternberg An inscription by Gysin on the verso states, “BG at Mistra near Sparta, Greece 1935 / foto: Nico Calas who snapped it. The photo was set up by me.” The 1982 postage stamp, small portrait photograph, “Sky the Limit” inscription and return address sticker of David Wells, an artist briefly in contact with Gysin and Keith Haring, were likely all added to the photograph by Wells.
