Exhibition Label: "Views of Vietnam," Oct-2006, Steve Goddard Scene in a re-education camp. The workers, who are probably building the Hồ Chí Minh Trail, may have been relocated and forced to work against their will. The flags in this image are those of the National Liberation Front (Việt Cộng). For many South Vietnamese who fled Vietnam after communist reunification (1975) this flag remains a powerful symbol of oppression.
