Exhibition Label: "Albert Bloch: Prints and Drawings," Jan-2014, Stephen Goddard Pierrot figures in harmonizing colors dance, perform and play music in a lyrical landscape where impressions from different senses seem to merge and blend. Several members of The Blue Rider group, notably Wassily Kandinsky, were captivated by the idea of synesthesia-the ability to, for example, see sound or hear color.
