"The 2-rod and bundle coiled "wedding baskets" or sacred meal baskets are also used in Navajo healing ceremonies and chant ways. They may occasionally be inverted to serve as drums. When used in ceremonies, the break in the design must always point toward the east. Note that the end of the final coil occurs at the design break.
